Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We designed and fabricated the 5GHz oversampling, 100MHz band-width continuous time second order ΣΔ analog to digital converter (ADC) using 0.4μm InGaP/InGaAs enhancement and depletion mode high electron mobility transistor (E/D HEMT) technology. We propose the polarity alternating feedback (PAF) technique to enhance the sampling frequency and have applied it in the ADC circuit design. The fabricated ADC shows a signal to noise ratio (SNR) of 43dB (7.3 bits) under a differential clock of 4.9GHz with 400mW of power dissipation.
