Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) By means of broadband beamsteering method using planar array, we can form a circular cone beam in any direction, but using three dimensional digital filter, it requires a large number of computations. For the reduction of this computational load, this paper presents a novel beamsteering approach in which the propagation wave is sampled efficiently in spatio-temporal sense so that the so-called non-physical area where no spectrum exist is filled with aliasing component. The proposed method has some restrictions on maximum bean center angle, but it can reduce the operations to about half the the number of conventional one.
