Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A low power CMOS absolute difference accumlator (ADA) array LSI was developed. The Wallace tree architecture, the "breaking-off-search" algorithm, smaller number of pixel data (upper 4 bits), allowing limited number of block-matching computation were used develop the ADA array LSI. Power dissipation of the 0.6-μm CMOS ADA array LSI is reduced to 68 mW at V_D=2.5 V operating at 40.5 MHz. It is approximately 1.1% that of a conventional ADA array LSI that used 8-bit/pixel, "8b-full-search" algorithm, etc.
