Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The trend towards system-on-a-chip(SOC)design, incorporating embedded functions such as memory, logic, and graphics, makes today's IC product development more and more complex. To overcome the design barrier of SOC, Avant! has developed an elaborate line of interfaces linking ECAD and TCAD tools enabling semiconductor engineers to concurrently optimize circuit performance and maximize product yield. This paper presents the ECAD and TCAD link in various areas that provide early SPICE parameters, optimal layout design and accurate interconnect model, allowing silicon early access to shorten time-to-market.
