Abstract(in English) This paper describes a single-chip MPEG-2 video decoder which is approximately 700K transistors on a 11.35×11.35mm^2 die using triple metal 0.5μm CMOS technology. Its power dissipation is less than 1W. The decoder has a chip architecture which is adapted to the display format and uses dynamic scheduling for DRAM accesses.
