Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Metaphor consists of a source element and a target element as "T like S". A metaphor generation model generates pairs of source elements and target elements that have a high metaphoricity. In this paper, we describe a method that uses word familiarity for generating pairs of concepts that is a high metaphoricity. Word familiarity expresses how familiar a word is and influences how easy we can appreciate metaphor. We compare word familiarity of source elements with a corpus-based knowledge base using data that are acknowledged as pairs of metaphor concepts. And we verify that word familiarity of source elements of metaphor influences metaphor generation.
