Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Psychological experiments of visual cognition in human are also made for elucidating human thought processes with use of computers as experimental instrument. We have been developing several highly-portable and optical-illusion-invoking tools such as those for geometrical and φ illusions, on computers, so that pupils can use them in elementary and high schools. Good attentions were, however, not paid to the characteristics of displays on computers, e.g., resolutions and refresh rates, in spite that displays are exclusively used for presenting stimuli to subjects. For this reason, we examined constraints of displays just for the Benthum Disk experiment, when using them as optical-invpoking tool.
