| Abstract(in English) | We will report the TIPSTER Text Program Phase III 24-Month Workshop which was held on October 1998. TIPSTER is a project aiming at the improvement of text processing technologies. In the US, it has been acting as the central project of the field for 10 years and producing a lot of fruitful results. The workshop is the finale one of the 10 year project. There were reports of technologies, manufacturing and application in the field of Information Retrieval (TREC), Information Extraction (MUC) and summarization (SUMMAC). |
