Extracting Elements and their Attributes from Newspaper Articles

Abstract(in English) In this paper, we will discuss about an approach to extract elements and their attributes from newspaper articles. Firstly, a sentence in a text are analyzed by parsing module f MT system. Then, information is extracted using structural information patterns from the parsing results. We implemented this extraction system based on Template Element(TE) task definition of seventh Message Understanding Conference(MUC-7). We will report the evaluation with 100 texts which were used in formal run test.
