Abstract(in English) This paper describes an interactive Korean to Japanese traiaslation tool using sequential selection method.Korean and Japanese have a lot of linguistic similarities,such a word order and particle.However Korea to Japanese MT system still needs deep semantic processing for word selection for instance.We therefore have developed the MT system in which not the system but a user selects appropriate words interactively.The process is as follows: (1)A user inputs a bunsetu in Korean into the system;(2)The system separates it into word and shows the user candidate words used in translation;(3)The user selects an appropriate word;(4)When the system encounters an unknown word,it immediately requests its Japanese equivalent and adds it to the dictionary.The result of statistical evaluation is alsodiscussed.
