Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) It is important for natural language understanding to construct a computational models for text structure. On constructing these models with no contradictions, the references of anaphoric words must be decided correctly. In general study, background knowledges are given to system for the decision. But it may be difficult to know in advance that what form and how many rules should satisfy for the resolutions. In this paper,we describe to our experiment, which based on some simple algorithms, for anaphora resolution on pronouns in English texts. And then we obserb how rules will be need for anaphora resolution by checking its results.
