| 抄録(和) | 画像処理は一般的にはボトムアップ処理である。しかし、画像には処理に必要な情報は完全には含まれていないという立場をとるならば、このような画像処理だけで画像の認識理解システムを構築するのは不可能である。そこで、認識システムから与えられた制約を充足するように画像処理を行なう「制約充足型画像処理」の枠組を新たに提案する。本稿ではその概念と例題を紹介する。 |
| 抄録(英) | In order to improve the applicability of a knowledge-based system for document image analysis,it is generally required to equip the facility for automated knowledge acquisition.This report presents a method of knowledge acuisition based on the paradigm of ′learning from examples′.Our method is characterized as follows:1 )it allows us to generate and improve the knowledge description incrementally by generalizing given examples of documents,2)it is capable of specializing the knowledge description by the feedback of analysis errors,so that the utility of the knowledge description for the analysis is improved.The effectiveness of our method is demonstrated by experiments of both knowledge acquisition and document image analysis using the acquired knowledge.As documents for the experiments,we consider titlepages of Japanese technical papers and visiting cards,which are entirely different in layout structures. |
