Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A primitive situation in narrative or procedure is normally expressed by a simple sentence or a clause of the complex sentence in narrative or procedural text. How to interpret the temporal relation between situations expressed by clauses in a complex sentence is one of the important problems for the semantic representation of narrative or procedural text.We present a taxonomy of temporal and semantic relations between situations in the Japanese complex sentence with a coordinated clause, and try to represent the meaning of the coordinated sentence by Discourse Representation Strucure in the framework of Discourse Representation Theory.
