| Abstract(in English) | This paper discusses an intelligent data base interface which aid users in information retrieval through natural language dialogue. We propose a method for generation of cooperative answers to queries by users. The method is designed on the basis of the inferential model of generation of cooperative answers in dialogues, which we have already constructed. The model is reconsidered in the light of the information retrieval. The method stresses the following two issues. One is that it searches answers which satisfy the intentions of users even if there are some misconceptions in their queries. The other is that it also reteieves additional information so that users can clearly understand the situations and realize their intentions. |
