Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Human language use is argued to be based on a general computational procedure unrestricted to parsing or generation or perhaps any other specific aspect of language processing. Such a procedure is proposed and shown to derive left-corner parsing, whose reality as a model of human parsing is supported by psychological evidences. This procedure does not prescribe any fixed directions of computation specific to parsing or language processing, but just employs a data-flow control and a general scheme of optimization which subsumes so called accessibility link and last-call optimization.
