Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | Japanese sentence final particles such as YO, NE, and YONE play an important role in Japanese conversation. Speakers have to estimate hearers' beliefs to select an appropriate sentence final particle. Since we have proposed a belief estimation algorithm, it seems possible to apply the algorithm to the selection. However, we have ignored the fact that utterances affect one's belief in order to simplify the algorithm. Here we describe the modification of the algorithm to take the effects of honest utterances into account, and illustrates how it selects appropriate particles. |
