| 抄録(和) | ベイズ推定は確率モデルの集合を考えモデルの不確かさを考慮に入れることで、データに対応しつつ、しかも、最適な構造選択を行える手法である。しかしながら、ベイズ推定を実現するためには、一般に実行が困難な計算がともなう。近年変分法を用いた近似をベイズ推定に適用する変分法的ベイズ推定(variational Bayes:VB)法が提案され、ベイズ推定に含まれる計算困難性の回避がなされ、様々な問題への応用の道が拓かれた。本報告ではTippingとBishop(1999)により提案された確率的混合主成分分析に対するVB法を導く。このモデルには構造を決定するパラメータとしてユニット数および各ユニットの有効次元の2種類がある。人工データに対する数値実験で2種類のモデル構造パラメータが正しく推定できることが確認された。 |
| 抄録(英) | Bayesian inference considers the model ensemble and the uncertainty of model so as to obtain the optimal model structure as well as data fitting. However, the inplementations of Bayesian inference often suffer from intractable integration calculation. Recently, the variational Bayes(VB)method using variational approximation has been proposed, which avoid the intractability in the Bayesian calculation. Then, it comes to provide various applications. This report applies the variational Bayes method to the mixture of principal component analysers(MPCA), which was proposed by Tipping and Bishop(1999). In that model, there are two types of model structure parameters, namely, unit number and effective dimension. We evaluate our method using artifical data and find that two types of model structure parameters are obtained appropriately. |
