Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Models based on performance indices that require the smoothness of movements have been proposed to reproduce human arm movements. It has been confirmed by behavioral experiments that these models can predict usual planar arm movements. It is considered that when a human generates movements, he plans movement patterns according to some performance indices. The human perception of movements can be regarded as an inverse process for the generation of movements. We hypothesize that a human perceives the patterns of biological movements according to some performance indices. In the current work, we investigate a relation between the generation and the perception in curved movements of the human arm.
