Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In order to make clear the role of hippocampus in rat navigation tasks. it is important to specify what types of information are input to the hippocampus during the tasks. and also to examine the effects of the hippcampal lesions of rat. A model of hippocampus basal ganglia based on reinforcement learning is proposed for rat navigation tasks. In the reinforcement learning. the stochastic policy is acquired. The behavior in two cases of milk maze tasks are investigated in computer simulations: one is the place navigation and the other the cue navigation. The results are qualitatively agree with physiological experiments in both normal rat aud one with hippocampal lesions.
