Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We have proposed the method to detect all edges from a given image by using self-organized clustering which assigns pixels to one of organized clusters according to its gray scale value and location, and by using the comparison of statistics quantities of self-organized cluster. However, there may be some pixels which belong to same cluster on the clustering, but are isolated on the given image because of the property of image data distribution. Such clusters bring to outbreak reckless firing of weak and small edges. In order to control such a issue, the pixels which isolate on the image are separated and re-defined as a new cluster. We propose the method that after the separation of nodes, small areas are put together to an adjoined large area by the logic of majority rules. After synthesis, their comparisons among these nodes results in estimated edges. In this report, the method which represents the suppression of random firing of weak and small edges by isolated pixels. In additon, by this proposed method, some results are shown in actual given images.
