Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Self-organizing continuously overlapping map is shown to have ability to detect the first and the second nonlinear principal components. The model is an advanced version of the self-organizing overlapping mapping model, and is shown to be able to extract two kind of information separately, such as pitch and quality of a tone.
