| 抄録(和) | 画像理解においてその中心的分野となるのがパターン処理と記号処理である。従来の研究において両者が別個なものとして独立に扱われることが多かった。そこで本稿では、画像の特徴抽出の段階でも記号処理とパターン処理が並列に存在し補完するようなハイブリッドシステムを提案する。また、選択的注意モデルの想起能力を利用して、局所的な特徴の情報を記号知識へと変換することで共通な知識を自動的に獲得できるようにした。この知識を用いた記号推論により、対象物体の領域分割や欠けた図形の補完画像を得ることができるシステムを開発した。これを重なり図形の領域分割に適用し、ハイブリッドシステムの有用性を示した。 |
| 抄録(英) | Center fields of image understanding are the pattern processing and the symbol processing. Both processing are often studied independently so far. In this paper, we propose a hybrid system for early stage of image understanding where the symbol processing and the pattern processing exist in parallel and complement mutually. There, the common knowledge that is necessary for their interaction is automatically acquired using the image recollection ability of the selective attention model. Local pattern features are converted into symbolic description. We developed an image segmentation system which is able to recover lacked part of given object using the symbolic inference. The system was applied for an occluded image and the usefulness of the hybrid system was shown. |
