Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this study, we construct a model of the eye movements in the case where the observer fixates or pursues the object of interest in the presence of an extensive visual stimulus. In this model, the eye movements in these situations are assumed to be composed of the component caused by background motion and the component for the fixation or the pursuit of the object of interest. This model can reproduce two properties observed in our experiments, i.e.the immediate compensation for the eye movement caused by background motion and the changes in eye velocity caused by transient background motion.
