Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This report describes a method of displaying two profiles horizontally that realize eyecontact psychologically on a tele-conference. It is important that the dialogists(who are the speaker and the listener)can make eye-contact on the teleconference, but in the previous teleconference system, they can not do it without a special hardware. Our method realizes the eye-contact on the general hardware as follows. The profiles of the dialogists are taken by the cameras at their sides, and the left profile of a dialogist and the right profile of the other dialogist are horizontally aligned on the display. We tested this method in psychological experiments and showed it effective.
