Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A restricted region in the lateral part of the posterior cerebellum becomes to show neural activities by learning to use a novel computer mouse. We measured the neural activities that accompany the learning by fMRI to investigate cerebro-cerebellar connectivity. We calculated laterality indices, which reflect the laterality of activation, in this cerebellar region and in some cerebral regions and found a significant negative correlation between the index in the cerebellar region and that in the pars opercularis and pars triangularis in the inferior frontal gyrus after sufficient learning. This result suggests that this cerebral regioh might receive output signals from the cerebellar region after learning.
