Abstract(in English) In digital magnetic recording,descriminating method using neural network was proposed and its feasibility of higher linear density capability are presened at Technical Report of IEICE MR94-16.In this method,amplitudes at n-sampling point with every one-bit readback waveform are inputted to neural network.Division number n is the larger the better for maximum linear density of descrimination,but too large n results in too large scale network and too long learning time.This paper studied effect to maximum linear density and learning time,by compyuter simulation.It was showed that the better maximum linear density is obtained for larger n,but it become difficult to learn for too small n.
