| 抄録(和) | 階層型ニューラルネットワークの応用として、パターン認識は重要な研究分野の1つである。本論文ではベイズ識別理論と3層ネットワークの近似理論を結びつけることにより、各カテゴリーの確率密度関数としてn次元ガウス分布が仮定できる2カテゴリーのパターン認識問題を考えた場合、各カテゴリーの事後確率がhiddenユニットを2n個以上有する3層ネットワークにより、統計的な意味で任意の精度で近似的に実現可能であることを証明する。更に、無限個の学習サンプルを有する上記のパターン認識問題では、学習誤差を小さくするような理想的学習が行われれば、hiddenユニット2n個以上でネットワーク入出力関数が任意の精度で統計的な意味でカテゴリーの事後確率に近づいていくことを証明する。 |
| 抄録(英) | Multilayer neural networks with BP learning algorithm are applied to many problems in the engineering field,such as pattern recognition,time series prediction etc.In this paper,we prove theoretically that three-layer networks with 2n hidden units have the ability to approximate not only certain Bayes discriminant functions but also a posteriori probability of two-class pattern recognition with arbitrary accuracy on condition that the populations of each class can be looked upon as n-dimensional Gaussian distributions.Furthermore,we prove that the input-output function of the network approximates the a posteriori probability of category with any precision when the network has learning samples without bound and improves weights as minimizing mean squared error. |
