Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In the last decade, problems of so called ″shape-from-X″ were wi dely investigated theoretically. In the present paper,we examined the effects of monocular information on human shape perception.in the experiment, subjects adjusted the shading of monocular single image in order to match the shape with the wire-frame reference one which was presented stereoscopically. The effects of surface property, color, intensity of light source for 3D shape(ellipsoid and paraboloid)perception were discussed.
