| 抄録(和) | 外界の物体を認識するためには脳内にそれらの形状を何らかの形で記憶している必要がある。人間の外界の物体に対する非常に高い認識能力を説明するために、認識の為の形状記憶表現という観点でこれまでに多くの研究がなされてきた。しかし、メンタルローテーションのような人間が示す認識の特徴が、これらのモデルでうまく説明できていない。本研究では視点に依存する認識パフォーマンスの変動が2種の要因からなることを心理実験によって示し、判断は認識と確認のプロセスからなるというモデルを提案することによってその結果を説明した。また認識パフォーマンスの高い方向はどのような方向であるかを刺激の形状と対応させて論じた。 |
| 抄録(英) | Human recognition of 3D objects requires,by definition,storing shapes of objects in a certain format in the brain Many researchers have studied ″representation of objects for recognitio n″ and proposed theoretical models in order to explicate the human ′s excellent performance in object recognition.Most of the models, however,do not explain some phenomena specific to human recognition,such as ″mental rotation.″ In this study,we first sho w that there are two sources of variation of performance for different viewpoints in object recognition,based on the results of a psychophysical experiment,and propose a model that the decision process consists of two processes,recognition and verification. Finally we suggest that there are inherent views of an object that correspond to high recognition performance. |
