Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Bi-directional neural network models which can deal with both generation and recognition of temporal patterns are expected to possess improved learning abilities. But the interpretations of its learning mechanism have not been clear yet because of the complexity of recurrent pathways the model has.So computer simulation studies were performed to investigate what plays an important role when the network learns temporal transformations. As a result of them,it was shown that the learning process of the pattern generation, recognition had close relation to the state transition in the recognition/generation phase.
