Abstract(in English) | A model for function approximation by self-organizing map is treated theoretically. This model is similar to counterpropagation network (CPN), but its hidden layer is self-organizing map, instead of winner-take-all (WTA) network used in CPN. Modified Kohonen's model, proposed by Kurata, is used for the self-organizing map. The parameters are lead theoretically to obtain the function approximation with the least error, and the results are verified by computer simulations. |
