Synaptic Interactions and Their Integration in the Active Neuronal Dendrite Model

Abstract(in English) By the computer simulations, we studied the synaptic interactions in the compartment model of a hippocampal pyramidal neuron which is known to have active dendrites. The spatial interactions among the excitatory and the inhibitory synaptic inputs in the active dendrites of the neuron model are characterized quantitatively. The interactions and the hierarchical integration of synaptic inputs in the active dendrite system were investigated On the basis of the results; the input-output relationship of the compartment neuron model with active dendrites is modeled formally. This newly constructed neuron model has a tractable structure like a multilayerd neural network, and is suitable for constructing a large scale neural network.
