Abstract(in English) We have developed a system for translation and speech from common Japanese to Ryukyu dialect that works on WWW. Pursuit of translation accuracy and high-quality speech is now running. The system is open to the public on WWW by using hyper-text description. The system translate standard Japanese text to Ryukyu dialect, then it speaks the dialect text by speech synthesis. In this paper, we describe an outline of the system and its operation.
