Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Identification of the Heavy Snow Fall Conditions by Neural Networks Hokkaidou Tohoku and Hokuriku in Japan are regarded as among the leading heavy snow districts. Heavy snow disturbs traffic and al life badly. To identify the heavy snow day is to get the important information. Heavy snow should need some meteorological conditions. We try to identify the heavy snow fall conditions by neural networks, and to find the main factors by the structural learning of neural networks with foregetting.
