Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) McGurk effect is a illusional phenomenon of human recognition process which occurs for a mismatch between visual and auditory information. To examine McGurk Effect and visual-auditory interaction in human brain, We have constructed Visual-auditory integration model using self-organizing feature maps. In this paper, we present that the model generates the same phenomenon as McGurk effect. We also show that the model can categorize unlearned patterns into some categories, which can be used as recognition results.
