Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A theoretical analysis was performed on the influence of the non linear terms in the Navier-Stokes equations so as to clarify their contributions on blood flow in circular cylindrical arteries. Blood flow in artery was expressed by Navier-Stokes equation and constitutional wall motion equations. We have obtained the blood flow velocities in radial and axial directions without viscosity. Then, by substituting the linearized solutions to the non linear Navier-Stokes equations. The permissive condition by which the ratio of non linear terms and the linear terms are sufficiently smaller than unity was the ratio of the amplitude of pressure pulse to the square of pulse wave velocity is sufficiently smaller than unity.
