Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Here we describe results from a computational simulation on the adaptation of vertical ocular following responses (OFR). This simulation was based on mathematical models capable of acculately reproducing not only OFR but also the firing probability of simple spikes and complex spikes of Purkinje cells in the cerebellum. The adaptation of OFR was successfully simulated on the assumption that the firing of the parallel fiber preceding the firing of the climbing fiber has the ability to change the synaptic transmissions.
