Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper describes relation between number of memorized pattern pairs and probability of failure to recall the pattern(error ration) for 2nd order bidirectional associsative memory(BAM). To estimate accurate error ratio, three methods have been compared ; (a) Gaussian appoximation, (b) characteristic function method, (c) improved Gaussian appoximation (Hermite Gaussian approximation). Comparison shows that Gaussian appoximation is valid for numbers of input and output neurons larger than 1000. While Hermite Gaussian appoximation is applicable for neuron numbers larger than 30 when expansion is truncated at fixed failure probability is estimated as the function of neuron number. This paper also shows lower bound of capaciry in the presence fo noise : results show capacity reduction is negligible for lower occurrence piobability of noise than 10^<-3>.
