Abstract(in English) | Since December 1st 2001, digital broadcasting using the satellite has launched. One of the feature of this new broadcasting is availability of multi-channel stereo including 5.1 channel surround sound. NHK(Japan Broadcasting Corporation)has produced 3-1 surround sound for more than 10 years. As a result of these experience the first program made by 5.1 surround aired in April 19th. Since then several programs has been already broadcasted. This paper introduces the topics of these programs and describes the current environment and the future possibility for multi-channel stereo production of NHK. |
