Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This work reports real-time subjective listening tests to clarify the relationship between the adaptive filter tap length in acoustic echo canceller and acoustic environmental conditions. Subjects judge that they could recognize the error signal or couldn't by using several acoustic echo cancellers whose tap length differs from each other. Reverberauon time in the room, signal delay time in telephone line and noise level are varied as parameters. As a result, the tap length mainly depends on reverberation time and signal delay time, but the effect of noise level is somewhat mild. And maximum range of temporal masking by subject's voice is between 0.2s and 0.3s.
