Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A Lateral Inhibitive Weighting (LIW) is applied for a preprocessing of STRAIGHT speech analysis method under noisy conditions. After optimizing the dip-depth and the band-width of the weighting window, up to 0.2dB (male) and 0.5dB (female) improvement is obtained when the SNR of the original signal is 0-10 dB. Furthermore, adaptive controlling of LIW parameters is introduced for avoiding speech quality degradation in higher SNR conditions.
