Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Most acoustic system, such as mufflers, are composed of several elements of various cross-sectional area connected together in series. In this case the acoustic characteristic can be estimated by the product of the individual element matrices. However, the results obtained by the calculation are not always in good agreement with the experimental results. In this paper,a method to derive the four-pole parameters matrix of the elliptical cylindrital cavity with mean flow including the characteristics of the connection part of elements is presented. The results are compared with the estimated characteristics obtained by the proposed method and those by onedimensional model.
