Abstract(in English) Two inter-aural coefficients(inter-aural level difference and equivalent inter-aural length)were estimated from measured impulse responses between a source and both ears of an artificial head as a function of an incident angle in the upper hemisphere.These theoretical inter-aural coefficients were calculated from diffraction coefficients between contralateral points on a prolate spheroid,an oblate spheroid,and a sphere.These results were compared with the measured data.In terms of the equivalent inter- aural length,the prolate spheroid is confirmed as an adoptable proper model of the head.Due to the disagreement of the inter- aural level difference among the diffractors,consideration should be given to the effect of the torso and shoulders to the prolate spheroid in order to perfect model.
