| 抄録(和) | 世界統一規格としてMIDIが誕生して12年になる。初期の段階では違うモデルの電子楽器を接続して、同時演奏をさせたり、主としてライブ演奏に用いられた。その後ハードウエア(電子楽器)の発達でMIDIの使われ方が増えている。現在では、MIDIの目的とした一つ、電子楽器による音楽制作は確実に定着し、二つ目の電子楽器によるオーケストラ的な音楽の自動演奏も簡単にアマチュアが取り組めるところまできた。このことによって音楽再生の手段として使いたいという欲求が起こり、GMなるものが制定された。また、カラオケの世界でに多用されようとしている。音楽以外の分野でもMIDIは有用な制御信号として使うことができる。 |
| 抄録(英) | Twelve years have passed since MIDI was conceived.Initially,it was used for connecting different models of electronic musical instruments together and having them play simultaneously. Since then,we have seen an increase in ways that MIDI can be used.This parallels the advances being made in the instrumenis themselves. Currently,electronic musical instruments play a role wherever music is produced.Making orchestrations that can be performed aittomatically is a creative endeavor that is now within easy reach of even the amateur musician. Recently,the ability of MIDI to provide reliable playback became an issue.This lead to the creation of the General MIDI System. We can expect to see MIDI used for Karaoke,and as a way to control a variety of non-musical devices. |
