Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The frequency characteristics of damping coefficient (or loss factor of damping materials are required increasingly for the application to various industrial fields and to the reduction of environmental pollution of vibration noise recently. Generally, damping coefficient is calculated from the half power band width around the resonance frequency by forced vibration. We considered that damping coefficient of the material can be obtained from the difference of damping coefficient measured by two conditions loaded with and without the cantilever specimen. The loss factor of a rubber specimen measured by our trial actuator corresponded approximately with the value of resonance method in forced vibration at central support.
