Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) I examined the degradation of the sound quality depending on CD materials. I confirmed that substrate material, colors of the label, freezing, annealing and disc shape change the sound quality. This means that the characteristics of the CD materials related to the wavelength of the pick-up laser diode disturb the laser beam, so that the reproduced digital signal has a jitter component which would degrade the sound quality. To protect the sound quality from the disturbance special to CD materials, we have to realize the CD player which has a sufficient power line, a sufficient earth line and jitter-free signal processing independent on a linear time axis.
