Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In recent years, there are many research reports concerning to noise suppression and selective receiving techniques by using blind source separation methods (BSS) such as an independent component analysis (ICA). Those techniques require complicate procedures such as a high order statistics and an estimation of transfer functions between sound sources and microphones. In this paper we propose a selective receiving method using the principal component analysis (PCA) which is able to separate to source signals using two microphones. The separated, however, signals include the effects of the transfer functions. We reconfirmed by computer simulation and experiments in an anechoic chamber that our proposed method works well.
