A Simple Prediction Method of Road Traffic Noise

Abstract(in English) In this paper, a simple prediction method calculating L_ of road traffic noise is proposed. This method is given by a simple expression which includes attenuation due to geometrical spreadings, the correction term α_d for diffraction and the correction term α_ for ground effects. The correction term α_ is similar to α_i in ASJ Model-1975. The derivation method of α_ was discussed and the some α_ are determined using an empirical model. We also formulate α_ by introducing the factor of excess attenuation which decreases exponentially with the distance from the vehicle i.e. a sound source.
