Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper proposed an estimation system of source direction for complex sound field using a microphone array of arbitrarily spacing elements. And it also examined the experimental performance of the system. The system makes use of the property of wavelength constant that depends on the mutually intersecting angle between the source direction and that of respective microphones. There is no need for this system to have any preliminary knowledge and requirement except the total amount of sources. Experimental tests for four sounds gave a considerable performance in estimation of source direction with the average error being 0.94゜ in the region of azimuth from 0゜up to 360゜. Additionally, it also gave the validity of sound detection for four sounds.
