Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This report shows the method for improving the quality of sound waveform polluted with noise. This method is applicable to recognition and noise reduction problems. Firstly, simple spectral subtraction is performed to the spectral envelope of polluted sound wave. Next, the recovery of valleys in spectral envelope is performed using suitable rules. Smoothing of envelope is based on cepstral method. This method consists of recursive method and littering. Transformed spectral envelopes are used for the recognition parameter of digits. These parameters are also used for input of the analysis-synthesis systems for obtaining the clear sounds. The experimental results of transformation and synthesis are shown in this paper.
